Que’s Intype Project Manager
It’s awesome how many people started using Intype this early. Intype’s community is growing! There a big support and they motivate us as developers. The Intype Community is now maintaining bundles, suggesting features, and discussing those things that matter most to Intype. Que got much further than just suggesting. He created a Project Manager with a Multi-tab layout. It is very useful to those who want to work with Intype, but happen to miss these features.
The Intype PM is a small application, aimed to ease the life of Intype fans. The native support for the “Project Manager” and “Tabs” are still in Development. Don’t worry thought Intype will support these features in a few months. If you really miss these features Que’s PM emulates tabs support by intercepting opened intype instances and docking them into a tabbed control. It also adds directory tree/project manager support.
Features:
- Ability to act as placeholder for Intype windows.
- Tabs support with automatic title updates.
- When opening new files the PM checks if the file is already opened if it is the corresponding tab will be activated.
- Ability to reuse already opened Instances instead of opening a new one (Ctrl+DblClick)
- Support for drag & drop to external applications (including docked Intype windows)
- Explorer’s right click popup menu for files and folders inside tree view
- Safe tab closing/exit (PM sends WM_CLOSE message to all docked Intype instances when exiting,
so Intype can still prompt the user to save before exiting.) - Recent projects list
- Tabs style customization and tree font selection
- Option to register ‘Open as IntypePM project’ to explorer’s folder menu
Here is the download link, the screenshot and the topic at the forums for all of you that are interrested in this tool.
For those of you that are eager for the tabs and project manager this is the answer from our growing community. I’m glad to see this happening, and I want to thank Que and all the other great people that love Intype as much as we do.
Please forward all your feature requests and questions regarding to this tool to the topic at forums.
