Hi,
I’ve uploaded a new TexTile Bundle with a menu inside (don’t forget to download the itInfo file).

Please, tell me if there’s errors, I’ll try to correct them later.
Sounds great, but I have some recommendations for you. See the first snippet I looked into:
The title should be set to “Centered Text” or something that makes sense to other users. I suppose this was meant to be tab_trigger, and if it is, then:
Textile is rather easy to learn and remember, but maybe It’s good to have it all for the reference. So I would maybe consider removing all the activation properties (i.e. key_equivalent and tab_trigger) and provide just the menu for the user as a quick interactive reference for the user. Another choice would be setting meaningful and easy to guess tab triggers. For example: center, image, table (inserts simple table with header), etc…
Anyway, the TextMate style guide may help you understanding the problem.
Ok Martin,
1. I’ve forgotten to set a convenient title for some of them (only some categories), in fact I started with the original ones and there was nothing in tab_trigger, so it was a rather boring task :)
2. I totally agree with you on that, but like you said it was meant to be helpful (a sort of TexTile quickref inside the menu). In fact, I don’t have done the lists snippets for that reason, writing “* “ or “# “ is so easy…I’ll think about key_equivalent.
Let me some time (I’ve got some work to do for a couple of days) and I’ll write something more convenient.
Cheers.
Okay
Martin, I’ve updated the Bundles and menu. Tell me if that fits your needs, some have shortcuts, but I can’t see them in the menu.
A question :
Is it possible to pass variables in snippets ? i.e I wanted to make a table with 5 columns, I would just enter the number 5 and the snippet will generate the 5 columns automaticaly like this :
Good suggestion. However this is not possible with current triggering method. This will be able to do with scripting support. Just add this task to you local ToDo list and we’ll get back to it by the introduction of scripting.
Yeah, that would be really cool. Although with chainable snippets and multiple tab triggers, so that both </li> and li works for example, it would be almost the same thing as specifying the number of list items in a similar snippet script. But then of course, much more advanced things could be accomplished once we have scripting support.
