I’m not entirely sure if this is a bug or a mis-used feature, but I believe it to be a bug because a similar action used with a different key does not cause this problem.
Example:
Snippet mode, while using the cursor/arrow keys will remain unless the user goes outside the bounds of the variable constraints within the snippet. Thus, I think the backspace key should also leave the user in snippet mode until he/she extends beyond those bounds.
Edit:
I just noticed that SHIFT + SPACE does the same thing.
Hmm, I can’t replicate this, or I’m just don’t getting it :)
Neither can I… :P
Hmmm, now I can’t either. When I finished working on the file I was on, I noticed the snippet mode had changed from XHTML (I’m quite sure I chose it) to HTML, even though the XHTML snippets were being triggered. This time, however, I was using a completely new instance of Intype (it wasn’t closed and re-opened before).
If this occurs again, I’ll try to duplicate it and take a screencast. Sorry.
...unrelated mental note: I’m going to kill the shift+spacebar snippet! :P
edit: I was also using the latest public release.
Works fine for me. I followed your instructions exactly, but nothing like your problem ocurred. I tried this on the latest public release (0.2.0.236).

I cant replicate the original bug, but SHIFT + SPACE does leave snippet mode.
I just noticed that SHIFT + SPACE does the same thing.
That’s problably because SHIFT+SPACE is a trigger for Now I’m not sure whether this is a bug or a feature, but I will report it. Thanks.
Yeah, I can see why it might not be a bug, but it would be good if you could do it.
