    Hi,

I made an alternative Intype icon which is based on the original Intype concept, but maybe a bit better than the actual one. It has now some transparency parts and is adjustable from 16×16 to 256×256, so it conforms to the Windows Vista© requirements. Nothing much to say, so only enjoy it if you like so :)

Hey, they’ve downloaded it about 35 people but nobody have left a comment? O.o

I would be really happy and thankful for some feedback. :)

Are you cool with the licensing terms? I mean: I believe it’s all cool and nice but I am not quite sure you can write something like “2007© Intype” all by yourself and derivate works from their own ip and sticking your own licence terms on it. Since Intype isn’t open-source/(l)gpl/mit/whateverlicence. Not that I think the devs would sue you to modify and make an icon for intype.

Apart from that.. looks nice : )

Copyright is an author based right and need no registration. That means, if you are a creator of something, you’ll be allowed to claim it as your work with copyright. I think you get something wrong with™ = Trademark, which needs to register. And if I’m wrong, Martin Cohen agreed to this term and he is the only person which could say something against this.

Nevertheless, it’s no problem for me to delete that because you don’t have the resource of this icon. So you need to produce it complete yourself. :)

I like it. The default icon is a bit pixelated with vista’s default large icons. This one looks nice and smooth.

Yeah, I like this one. It simplifies the original icon, with a slight gradient. Looks nice.

Exumcalin: Copyright is an author based right and need no registration. That means, if you are a creator of something, you’ll be allowed to claim it as your work with copyright. I think you get something wrong with™ = Trademark, which needs to register.

Trademarks and copyrights are two very different things. Copyright applies to an original work of authorship (e.g. Books, music, paintings etc.). A trademark is a brand identification for a product or service ( like Coca-Cola, iTunes and iPod).

You can claim copyright on your own work with out registering, in most of the world you don’t even need to add the copyright notice©.

Trademarks come in two forms; the unregistered™ and the registered®. In most countries you need to register to protect your trademark, but in the U.S. the trademark right is given when you use the mark.

Last but not least, I like the icon :)

Ehhh... no, I forgot only this thread. I had presumed, that there is no requirement anymore and so I stopped uploading it. In addiction to this, I thought the development of intype stopped cause I can't remember the last release.

If there is going to be a new release or the requiremet is big enough again, I would upload it again but until this happen I would keep it down... I think.
