That’s a very nice feature, and also the line numbering system is cool too (only display each tenth line number and the current line number, see video)

Yeah, that’d be really nice… so it doesn’t load it all on startup. Hopefully the refactoring Martin’s doing now improves startup time somewhat…

I would like to see a feature from (at least) SciTE where you're able to set a custom filter for what file types you'll see in the Open File dialog. You can have several filters that you can select from the dropdown "File format".

For example you could have filters like:
    Html --> *.html, *.htm, *.xhtml

Under Miscellaneous (Section G), under Printing, can we add Print Preview, as well as something to infer that font sizes and other custom attributes can be set for printing (line numbers, color or not, etc…) as opposed to standard GUI rendering? :)

    edit: Hmm…could have sworn it didn’t exist there before… :( I’m slipping.

Hey, Martin, I don’t suppose there’s any chance of you reviewing the version numbers on the feature list is there? The all a bit out of date now.

With new site, we are going to add the roadmap per feature similar to current release todo. The work on the site just started…

ahoj, mám několik jistě inovativních nápadů :-D

    • editable line on status bar (jump to line)
    • project should remember its opened files.
      • když přepnu projekt, zavřely by se mi všechny soubory a otevřely by se ty, co byly naposledy otevřené, když byl projekt aktivní. Bylo by to dobré, pokud dělám víc projektů najednou.
    • some <select> with projects in project pane
      • rychlé vybrání projektu <select>em

Hm… myslim, že muj komentář sem trošku jazykově nezapadá. To se omlouvám, ale mojí angličtině byste taky nemuseli rozumět ;-)

Hi, I have some inovative ideas :-D

    • editable line on status bar (jump to line)
      • the line number would be rewritable, and the user would jump to the line number specified. It could also work with column number, but I’m not sure if it would be usefull. This approach would be better then a dialog box (and more accessible)...
    • project should remember its opened files.
      • when I close a project, all my files (tabs) are will close and when I open a saved project, all the files that were opened when that project was active would open. It would be useful when working on multiple projects at once.
    • some <select> with projects in project pane
      • fast switching of projects using a combo box

Hm… I think, my comment does not fit here according to the language, but you wouldn’t probably understand my english either ;-)

Vlad: idyllrain: aplease, make this feature switchable. ;) I don’t like when my Notepad++ remembers all opened files.

I belive that this function will by switchable. Im using Intype Alpha 0.3.1.734 Unstable, there is remembering last opened files set to enabled and cannot be turned off (Or i didnt find how). And its realy boring to confim 3 – 5 dialogs with mesage “cannot open file” from last session each time i open intype.
    Jinak uzasny editor .)

    File version control
Another sweet feature (at least I think so :D):

For each time you save your file a copy of the previous saved version is kept. This will only be true as long as the file remains open. As son as you close the file your versions will be deleted.

Then you could also have a menu were you could see your versions and how many changes that were done between changes.

I guess the last one requires file comparing and that maybe wouldn’t fit Intype.

I like that idea. IDEs like Netbeans and Eclipse have that “local history” feature and it’s really helpful (even in addition to version control systems). Netbeans even keeps the history between file opens so you can revert to changes you made days ago. I wouldn’t necessarily want that for every file I open with Intype, but maybe for files that are part of a project.

IE short for? (not Internet Explorer I suppose)

I read a little about E today since so many of you are talking about it and saw that it had this kind of feature, called “history”. I think it sounded really nice.
