    Getting Unstable Releases

    • Unstable releases are available via RSS. The RSS contains all release notes including bug fixes, new features and modified features.
    • Once the release is stabilized and contains all planned features, it is moved to the Stable Releases category.

    Reporting bugs

    • Feel free to report any bugs or annoyances in the current unstable release.
    • Please, always use UNSTABLE Releases category to report the bugs.
    • Don’t forget to add version number for every bug report.

In Appearance Presets: "Apply preset to these languages" should be THOSE languages :)

Looks nice, you can see progress. But I don't like the rounded corners in selection :D

    What is document centering feature?
    Where find that configuration?

    View, Appearance Preferences, Center Document.

When word wrap is on, and the boundary is less than the width of your screen, the document appears centered. It’s a neat feature :)

    Hi all !

I can't get the last unstable release.
The link (http://intype.info/download/download.php?intype-0.3.1.596.exe) doesn't send me anything...
I had the same problem with the previous unstable release.

Am I the only one with this problem ?

    But are we there yet?!?

  10.  permalink

I must admit and I think everyone can concur, we’re excited for a great windows editor to finally rear its head. Emacs, Vim, UltraEdit, Notepad++ and whatever editor you can think of, just isn’t enough or its waaay to much. Products like Intype and E are sort of saviors in that sense.

  11.  permalink

We are almost there yet. We are creating a cut line in planned todo lists, to release what we have and to let you test it. Cannot say when exactly we will release, but we have started cutting some updates and moving them to next release… Also stable release is in progress.

Hi guys, here’s some update. Here is the list (with screenshots) of features already implemented in Intype:

    • Quick Open dialog enables you to quickly open a file by filtering a list of file names known to Intype: project files, recent files and opened files.
    • New Grammar Selection Popup (Ctrl+Shift+G) uses the same algorithm as Quick Open, but filters grammars.
    • Launch Snippet feature shows filtering dialog for all snippets in the application. You can then quickly search in snippet names and launch.
    • GoTo Line dialog with files combo
    • Recent Files and Recent Projects

    Edit:

    • Project Manager is not creating a project file in the project root automatically. You can save the file by launching Project/Save Project command.
    • Intype also restores recently opened files and project on start.

This release is looking really good, thanks! A couple of things:

    • I’ve tried out this bug and it looks as though it still exists.
    • Is the ability to create custom snippet files in the users Application Data folder available yet? I’d really like to create some custom snippets that override the standard ones, without fiddling around with the standard ones. I couldn’t see any obvious mention of this in the change logs.
    • When will we have the ability to customise the keyboard shortcuts. I’ve gotta say the only thing that really bugs me about Intype right now is the non-standard shortcuts.
    • The ability to run multiple instances (for multiple project editing) would be handy.

Jack Sleight: What do you mean by non-standard shortcuts? Which are non-standard?

Jack Sleight: You can override the bundles using the users folder in the Intype installation directory. For example, to override the DIV snippet:

    <Intype_Installation_Dir>/user/bundles/HTML.itBundle/snippets/div.itSnippet

You can define your own bundles there as well.

More bundle editing features are planned for Bundle Editor, that will also come with moving the users directory to other location.

Actually I got a bit confused, turns out what I thought was standard wasn’t, sorry, all I was really referring too was that the redo shortcut in Dreamweaver is CTRL+Y (as in Intype), but it is also CTRL+SHIFT+Z, which IMO makes more sense, and is easier to press.

Oh, I would also really like to see CTRL+SHIFT+W = close all tabs, but I think that’s been bought up before and decided against? Hopefully there will be a way to customise this at some point.

  16.  permalink

JSleight: Ctrl+Shift+Z can be added as an optional shortcut for Redo to the core. No problem with that. However, Ctrl+Shift+W is a bit problem, so you will have to wait for the keymap feature. I have no timeframe for it now. We are focusing on other things right now, but if I will have some time, I’ll try to spend it on the key mapper. I hope, you can live without it until then… :/

Oh sure, no rush whatsoever, there are certianly more important features right now. Ctrl+Shift+Z will be welcome though :), thanks!

Would it be possible to have Go To LIne/Column when you open intype from the command line? Something like:

    intype.exe file.txt /l:120 /c:22

Or how about supporting the txmt URI protocol?
