how about, instead of a whole window for the bundle editor it will be a side bar showing all the bundle files(like in the bundle editor) and we could edit them in intype it self?

yarden: Yeah, that was actually one of the proposals. These are it’s cons:

    • Additional fields such as shortcut, or tab trigger cannot be shown in the editor
    • Editing a bundle item would take whole editing space, and you will be able to see either edited file or the bundle editor. Current UI lets you see both.
    • Bundle editor will contain tab control in the main part with several tabs (Item-specific editor, Jasmine source, Errors, and Help). And without second-level of the tabs, it would be impossible to achieve this.
    • Not all items will need editing component. For instance, an editor (that will be) shown after you click on a bundle in the bundle editor will contain bundle’s menu editor.

If you are heading to have Intype’s editing capabilities in the Bundle Editor, then it is solved in 0.3.5 with Intype’s editing component available in the BE.

Another solution you may think of is to have separate window only for editing an item (like the file properties in Windows Explorer). But this would make editing or just walking through items too clumsy.

I agree with Martin – good points. You can sort of do this now by opening the Bundles folder as a project anyway.
