Hi, as I said in blog post comment:

I dream about containers in windows, when it will be possible to create custom panels/windows with many applications, like: intype + ff + console or intype + mysql admin + ie, etc.

so after I found WindowTabifier by Giorgi Dalakishvili, I realized that it is good point to start.

    here You have some screenshots:

    navicat + console
    wc + console
    ff + console
    ff + intype

And here You can check it:
    WindowTabifier aka IntypeCommander

That is my second project in C#, no big but quite problematic modifications of main project. Soon as soon as I will be at home I will publish sources.

Tell me what You think about it. :)

You may want to look at StumpWM. It’s a Linux thing, but it may be of some inspiration to you. Also, nice work. :)

    Thanks! :)

    New version:
    IntypeCommander2

    Changeset:

    • WIN+UPexpand top panel
    • WIN+DOWNexpand bottom panel
    • WIN+LEFT/RIGHTchange panels orientation
    • WIN+SPACEfocus IntypeCommander and bring it to the top
    • added icons on status bar
    • fixed resizing hosted windows
    • fixed process list window
    • fixed bug with release hosted windows after closing IntypeCommander

I still have problems with focusing after click on hosted application (it going mad after focus), but I made some steps in that way, maybe it will be next version improvement :P

After run, right click on icon in tray, then choose “tab windows” and from lists, select applications for top and bottom panel.

Any chance it can re-read the window lists when you try to add more tabs? If I want to add a new tab for a newly opened application, I need to close it down and restart (maybe because I’m on Windows 7?)

    Loving it though :)

It happens on all windows versions. I want to fix it soon.

I think Inplace have very wide possibilities to do same thing as ICmd in much cooler way :)
What do You think Martin? Is it possible?
